The fixture that sets expectations before anyone reaches the room they came for.
Entrances and stairwells
A double-height entrance is where crystal does its most convincing work, because the fixture is read from the ground floor and from the landing at once. Compositions for these volumes are specified from the ceiling height and the stair, so the piece holds the space from both levels rather than floating in it.
Corridors
Corridors want repetition rather than a single statement: a run of matched pendants or flush fixtures at even spacing. Where ceiling height is limited, enclosed lantern forms sit better than open crystal.
