This page describes what Berkana collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect
When you send an inquiry we receive the name, email address and message you enter, and the phone number, company and state if you choose to add them. If a submission fails validation we hold what you typed for fifteen minutes so the form can hand it back to you rather than clearing it; that temporary copy is filed under a one-way hash of your IP address and browser identification, and it expires on its own. Our web server keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, in the ordinary course of running the site.
Why we collect it
To answer you. Berkana does not operate a store on this website, there is no checkout, and we do not collect payment details here. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who sees it
Your inquiry reaches Berkana directly. Berkana fixtures are sold through authorized showrooms and representatives, but we do not pass your details to one unless you ask us to.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are retained while a project is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a fixture can be identified and supported years later. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
Other services this site uses
Typefaces are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google on every page. The showroom map and the workshop video load only when you press the button for them — until then no request is made to Google Maps or YouTube, and neither places anything on your device. The video poster image is served by YouTube's image host.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. California residents have these rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them; Florida residents have comparable rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights. You do not need to be a resident of either state to ask — we will answer anyone.
